Clearly, there is strong interest from Alkmaar in the midfielder of Ludogorets. The interest in Stanic does not come out of the blue. The 24-year-old Serbian has had a strong season so far. For his club Ludogorets, with whom he finished third in Bulgaria, he scored nine goals and provided ten assists in 33 league matches. Stanic also scored seven goals in the Europa League, making him joint top scorer with Igor Jesus of Nottingham Forest. There is also interest in Stanic from Spain. Real Betis and fellow city club Sevilla are linked with the attacking midfielder. Whether Stanic will be seen in the shirt of AZ or another club next season will become clear in the coming summer.
