AZ Alkmaar took the lead in the Czech capital early on. Isak Jensen was the finisher after an attack of one minute and 42 seconds with at least 32 (!) ball contacts. A lead that was maintained for the rest of the first half without much effort. Thirteen minutes after the break, Troy Parrott scored after a nice pass from Peer Koopmeiners, making it 0-2, and four minutes later, Sven Mijnans scored with a blazing long shot, making it 0-3. The 1-3 was eventually annulled by the VAR, and Ro-Zangelo Daal scored the final 0-4 in the 73rd minute. He worked the ball into an empty goal after a counter via substitute Elijah Dijkstra and Parrott. Mijnans then hit the top of the crossbar. Now, a two-legged tie awaits the Ukrainian powerhouse Shakhtar Donetsk. The away match on April 9, which is the first on the agenda, will be played in the Wisla Kraków stadium in Poland.
